Classical Music for the Ukulele

• There isn't a lot of Classical style music written for the ukulele! But that hasn't stopped a great many talented players adapting famous pieces for the instrument.

• One of the MOST talented was a man named John King (1953 - 2008). Here he is playing 'Carol of the Bells' - simply beautiful...

• This is my friend Samantha Muir playing a piece by Bach called 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.'
• It was arranged by the gentleman above, John King
• It is usually played on the Organ, often in a Church. However Sam plays it beautifully on her ukulele.

• The piece we're going to learn is a melody written out using ukulele tab notation.

• It is called 'Ode to Joy' and was written by Ludwig van Beethoven.

So let's go and play it beautifully!
