“Row, Row Row Your Boat”

  • This is a nice and easy song to play with one chord, the chord of C!

  • Make sure your three fingers march up the first string, with each finger having its own space, or 'fret.'

  • Use a 'Flying Thumb' to strum across all the strings.

  • Play in time with the pulse or beat.

  • Have fun with the words!

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream
Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
If you see a crocodile
Don’t forget to scream

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the river
If you see a polar bear
Don’t forget to shiver
Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the shore
If you see a lion there
Don’t forget to roar

Row, row, row your boat
Gently 'cross the sea
Faster Faster Faster Fast
Home in time for tea

(Bonus verse from my friend E at Hamstead Junior - thank you!)

My friends at Ocker Hill Academy were learning this song and saw that nobody had recorded it! So we thought we would!
Hope you enjoy it! May 2015
